Paul Sands

Paul Sands

Director and Financial Adviser

Paul has worked in the Financial Services Industry for over 20 years, in both the corporate and independent sectors for the likes of FCE Bank, Connells and Lifetime. In 2003, Paul set up his first company and is now Director of SR Finance and Sands Financial Management. Paul enjoys spending time with his wife Caroline and their two daughters. When time permits he enjoys watching Spurs, punishing himself at HIIT classes and learning Spanish.

Matt Rogers

Matt Rogers

Director and Financial Adviser

After a career in the print and electronics industries, Matt moved into financial services over 10 years ago. Building a large client bank as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser, he completed his qualifications and began advising clients on all aspects of their financial well- being. As Director, Matt is passionate about providing clients with a bespoke service that sets the company apart from the competition. Matt spends most of his spare time watching his two sons play football and rugby.

Qualifications: CeMAP, CertRER, Dip FA.

Interesting fact: Matt still plays rugby himself (and yes it does hurt afterwards).

Gina Ormerod

Gina Ormerod

Financial Adviser

Starting her career at Lloyds Bank at the age of 16, Gina has gained a breadth of experience spanning nearly 30 years, working for several different companies in a wide variety of roles. After obtaining her DipFA Qualification, she has found her niche helping clients from all walks of life to plan for and manage life changing financial events. Gina has 3 teenage girls who keep her busy. When she does have time to herself she enjoys treading the boards at Hertford Theatre.

Interesting fact: Gina is a qualified Aerobics Instructor.

Leanne Sergeant

Leanne Sergeant

Mortgage & Protection Paraplanner

Leanne has worked in the financial services industry for over 17 years, initially for Lloyds TSB, moving to Nationwide Building Society then Connells Estate Agents. Qualifying as a Mortgage Adviser was the point at which she found her vocation. She joined the team at Sands Financial Management in 2015. After returning from maternity leave, Leanne’s part time role here at Sands is to offer support to the Advisors with her administration skills within the Mortgage and Protection industry.

In her spare time Leanne enjoys spending time with her 2 children and husband and she also enjoys eating out with friends.

Qualifications: CeMAP.

Interesting fact: Leanne is a keen football player and is a qualified football coach.

Andy Penny

Andy Penny

Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Andy joined the team at Sands as Office Manager in 2014. He has now worked in the Financial Services Industry for over 25 years. Having started at Ford Credit in 1996, he moved to VWFS, before joining Sands.

Andy became a Mortgage & Protection Adviser in 2017, after obtaining his CeMap qualification. With 4 years advising, he enjoys using the knowledge he has gained to confidently help clients find the right solutions for them.

Andy is a keen sportsman. He enjoys playing golf, watching football and the occasional running around his hometown, Biggleswade. He hopes to complete the London Marathon later this year.

Interesting fact: Andy enjoys spending time in the kitchen, creating culinary delights.

Debbie O’Hare

Debbie O’Hare

Compliance & Office Manager

Debbie has worked in financial services since 2007, gaining over 13 years’ experience in financial services, dealing with mortgages, protection, pensions and investments. 

Debbie joined the team at Sands Financial Management in September 2015 and now oversees the compliance within the company and the operational side of the office. 

She loves to spend time with her 2 teenagers, family and friends and enjoys travel, photography, music and nights out with friends!

Interesting fact: Debbie is a big music lover and regularly attends festivals and gigs!

Susan Biggs

Susan Biggs

Administrator

Sue has accumulated 17 years experience working within the Financial Services, she joined Sands in October 2015  after working previously for another firm of Financial Advisors.

Her role here at Sands is to offer support to the Advisors with her administration skills within the Mortgage and Protection industry.  She always has Sands clients best interests at heart and will always do her utmost to offer any help and support to them.

Sue loves to spend her spare time walking or cycling through the countryside and when she is not out and about, you will find her dancing in the Kitchen!! But her love for her 4 children and 7 Grandchildren will always come before anything else in her private life.

 

Interesting fact: Sue has always had a passion to become a Rally driver.

Holly Croucher

Holly Croucher

Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Holly has worked in the Financial Services Industry for 10 years, moving from pensions and investments administration to mortgage and protection advising. Holly enjoys helping her clients and prides herself on offering a tailored personal approach to their financial plans. Holly enjoys spending time with her partner Rhys and their daughter. She likes to spend her free time learning to cook new dishes; she also enjoys both watching and participating in a wide range of sports.

Grace Ryan

Grace Ryan

Investment Team Administrator

Grace has worked in the Financial services since 2015. Starting her career as an apprentice at a partner of a large investment firm, her role progressed, developing her knowledge on investments, pensions and inheritance tax planning. 

In January 2020, Grace joined Sands Financial Management as an administrator. In Grace’s spare time she loves spending time with her family exploring the national trust sites or in the gym.

Interesting fact: Grace is a qualified Nail Technician

Helena Robinson

Helena Robinson

Administrator

Helena started her career at Retail Head Office with TKMaxx as an Office Administrator for the European Buying Office . 

After 10 years, she decided to work within store for a major supermarket to be closer to home and spend more time with her growing family.

In July 2017, Helena joined Sands Financial Management as an Administrator. She enjoys supporting the Advisers and Clients with their mortgage and protection needs. Over the past 4 years Helena has broadened her knowledge within the financial industry and enjoys learning new things every day.

In her spare time Helena enjoys spending time with her 3 children, eating out with friends and going on walks with her 2 dogs (and husband!).

Interesting fact: Helena is one of 5 children and currently has 13 nieces/nephews!
